CTS Heritage conducted a Heritage Impact Assessment for a proposed sand mine on the farm Brakke Kuyl No. 38 and No. 39 in Blouberg, Cape Town. A number of significant Later Stone Age archaeological sites have been identified in the vicinity of the proposed sand mine by Kaplan (2016). HWC requested that test pits must be excavated in order to establish the extent of the deposit that these sites are located in.
