Heritage Impact Assessments are often required in response to proposed developments, either as part of a NEMA or MPRDA process, or as part of a process in terms of the NHRA. CTS Heritage will project manage all your heritage requirements throughout the development process. CTS Heritage has experience in drafting integrated Heritage Impact Assessments that are compliant with SAHRA and HWC standards, and that satisfy the requirements of the legislation. In addition, should specialist studies be required as part of the HIA that CTS Heritage does not have available in-house, CTS Heritage will source and manage the relevant specialists and ensure that their findings are integrated into the final HIA ready for submission to the relevant authority.

There is very little point in conserving and formally declaring a significant heritage site without developing a plan for its ongoing management. CTS Heritage will liaise between you, the owner and the relevant heritage authority to ensure that significant heritage resources have management plans in place. In addition, a heritage authority is unlikely to allow a significant archaeological or rock art site to be open to the public without a heritage agreement with the landowner and a conservation management plan in place. CTS Heritage will gladly assist to navigate these requirements.
